Title: What's It Look Like?!
Rating: PG
Characters/Pairing: Nakama
Prompt: Fantasy
Word Count: 289
Summary: Nami, Chopper, and Usopp try to figure out Zoro.
Watching the swordsman had become an every-now-and-then sort of thing. The entire crew wouldn’t do it all at once, but every so often they’d gather in pairs or a small group and watch like snooping neighbours at the corner of a street. This was exactly what Nami, Usopp, and Chopper were currently doing.
“He looks really focused,” Usopp commented watching Zoro sit cross-legged on the grass off to the side of the stairs, with his eyes closed and hands fisted on his knees. Nami side-glanced at Usopp before her eyes narrowed slightly. Crouching down, she retrieved a small rock that Chopper had brought back from shore and let it fly in Zoro’s direction. All three watched as it hit him in the forehead, but didn’t shake the man from whatever it was he was doing.
“Chopper, I think he’s dead,” Usopp muttered. Chopper’s eyes widen and he let out a gasp. At the same time Zoro let out deep breath and the two boys disregarded the comment.
“Brain dead maybe,” Nami said. The sound of glasses clinking followed by solid footsteps told them that Sanji was cleaning up all the empty glasses they had left about. The footsteps came closer and stopped next to Chopper.
“It’s like watching bread mould over,” Sanji muttered, and everyone watched as what appeared to be a vein started to expose itself on Zoro’s forehead.
“Oh, movement!” Chopper exclaimed and Sanji scoffed slightly causing the doctor to direct a questioning look up at him. Smirking, Sanji repositioned the tray in his hand.
“He’s having a fantasy,” Sanji answered as if it was obvious fact. The echoing ‘oooooohhhhs’ were highly satisfying.
“Training,” Zoro muttered through gritted teeth. Sanji nodded.
“Like I said, having a fantasy.”
