so in my timezone it's already 5:05pm and I think it's about time to declare the winner so that the new topic can also be announced today :]

I'm really happy that you guys found the time to write those awesome entries and I really enjoyed them all :]

I especially liked devlinnreiko 's "Give in" with its simple yet clear and well executed story and therefore pronounce her winner, congratulation!

phew, it's really not easy to decide a winner
I really enjoyed reading all three drabbles, so thank you once again for taking the time to write them :]


ah, a stupid question at last....

would it be ok for the subject-provider/judge of the week to comment the entries?
I kept myself from commenting before declaring the winner and am going to catch up on it in a second
I mean it should be fine to comment them right after reading them, too, shouldn't it?
as long as one wouldn't write something stupid like "omg you're totes gonna win this!" it shouldn't be harmful to comment normally, right?
or is it preferred to stay silent until the judgment is made?
I don't mind either way but I'm afraid of doing things that aren't much welcome in the community, so tell me what's ok :]

And in regards to your question, from the past entries I've seen judges comment on entries. I've done it before and I stay neutral like you say, but no harm in commenting if you believe it. ^___^

Devlin-San is right! You can totally comment on entries when you judge. In fact I try to comment on all of them since people took time to write for me. Gushing is allowed too, since if someone really wants to win they can read your comments and try to top those entries in a style you like.

No 'Omg you r totally going to win!' but a 'This is so awesome it'll be hard to beat.' is okay. After you announce the winner you can go comment that they DID win. I perfer this even, although not a rule.This sends them a message they won and they can be thinking of a new topic.

Which, of course, is no reason to say you shouldn't, it just means that afterwards you can say whatever you wanted to say in the first place without 'adjusting' it to be unbiased. :)

you're right, writing afterwards doesn't have any disadvantages per se
but I always want to immediately write a comment and compliment the writer after I've read it XD
I'm impatient~
but then again I don't want to discourage the one who might want to send in the next entry and reads my comments thinking "well, if she likes that one so much already then maybe I shouldn't send it in after all"
but now that I'm typing this I realize that'd be a very negative way of thinking XD;
after all everybody is here to have fun most of all :]

sometimes I tend to think a bit dramatically XD;
