Just slightly over word count, the full 386 word version is here, while I've made a shortened version to post here.

So not quite a crosspost, not quite not a crosspost.

Title: Surrendering to the Current.
Rating: R (for minor sexual mentions)
Pairing: Not exactly a pairing, but definately hints at Sanji/Zoro, Sanji/Rufi, and Sanji->Nami
Words: 300
Notes: Wow. This was NOT what I sat down to write. In any way, whatsoever. But, for the most part, I like it.

I took one look at the topic for this week, and was absolutely sure I wouldn't be able to do anything.

Shows what I know.

This little Sanji-introspective piece sort of wrote itself. Later, when I was typing it up, more revisions happened very, very naturally. The hard part was going back through, and finding chunks to cut out to meet the word limit.

(Well now that I've rambled for double what I cut out...I'll shaddap now. o_o)

-k.

Sanji sighed deeply, taking a long drag off of his cigarette. It was nice to finally get a break. He considered watching the ship while everyone else went inland to be a mini-vacation. Much as he enjoyed the company of his crewmates, it was nice to finally have some alone time.

No hyperactive captain, however comfortably familiar his antics.
No beautiful Nami-san to wait on constantly, though he adored her.
No stupid swordsman to rattle his nerves.

Just himself, his wine, and cigarettes; a much needed sabbatical.

So why was it, that he couldn’t stop thinking about them?

Cigarette in hand, Poured himself another glass of wine. Swirling the liquid inhaling its scent, he closed his eyes, and let his mind drift.

But it didn’t.

Not to say it didn't wander, but drifted might be too much credit. It was a leisurely switch, but quick, and without cause. Sometimes it was a fast jump; a fickle butterfly without focus for the sweet nectar. Other times it was like a river, flowing slowly, and diverging at a rock. Other times, there was a combination between the two. Perhaps like a much faster river...or a much slower butterfly....

Nami’s curves became the swell of her hips, became Zoro’s well-sculpted ass under his hand. Zoro’s grunts of pleasure, insistence and need, became Rufi’s hunger grumbles. Which, in turn, became the softest whimper of surprise, and then surrender as Sanji’s mouth covered his.

What? Keeping his mouth occupied kept his mind off food long enough for a meal to finish cooking. Something in the oven. Like cake.

At least, that’s how it started.

“Kuso...” Sanji’s mumbled curse and frustrated glare were softened some by the smile that graced his lips as he raised the glass to them.

Yes, sometimes it was nice, being alone.
