Garp had always known it would end badly, but never like this. Ace is in trouble, and Luffy is charging to the rescue, and Garp...
Garp has to make a choice.
Dragon is too damn smart for his own good (and everyone else's for that matter) and one day he'll probably wind up on an execution platform of his own, but that's his choice, and Garp can live with that.
But Ace and Luffy are just kids, just a pair of damn brats, and goddamit, they're his grandsons.
But they're also pirates, and Garp is a marine, and no man can serve two masters.
He closes his eyes.
