Title: Playing for Kicks
Rating: PG
Pairing: ZoSan
Word Count: 220
Topic: SeekNFind
It was for kicks that they had started up their little game of hide and seek on the Merry, a way to settle things without a fight. The loser of the last round was “it” with a time limit of thirty minutes, if the one hiding wasn’t found, they won and vice versa with the prize being the opportunity to top that night.
The Merry was a very small ship, though, and it was easy enough to go through the few hiding spaces large enough for them within that time, so they switched it up by allowing the changing of hiding spot mid-round. An extra challenge, kept them on their toes, kept them out of routine.
Kept it fun.
Zoro perused the deck of their new ship, for all intents and purposes looking as if he was appreciating the fine craftsmanship Franky had put into it. He barely contained his smirk when he heard the tell-tale click of Sanji’s shoes and caught the scent of cigarette smoke approaching. “Nice ship,”
“Ah,”
“See you in thirty minutes,”
A smirk, “Or sooner, if you get lost like I know you will,”
With an almost imperceptible brush of their hands, Zoro was off and Sanji exhaled a puff of smoke, gently tapping the ash over the side of the ship. “One… two… three…”
