Notes: Oh look, more notes that are as long as the drabble.

So yeah, I'm really taking some liberties with this week's topic (forgive me, I've got nothing against Ben/Shanks, it's just never really done much for me as cute as I think it is... and I don't think I've really got a good enough handle on the characters to write it.) The underling tone in this drabble that meets the criteria is the relationship between Ace and White Beard but I am BY NO MEANS trying to slash them @_@ Cause that's... just wrong. No. No White Beard slash. But one thing that's always kind of bugged me about Ace's character is his die-hard dedication to his captain and being content to follow and be second in command. Because personally I'd love to see Captain Portgas D Ace and the Oyasumi Pirates. Or Mera Mera Pirates, whichever. ::snickers::
