Ah, finally got back into the writing groove.  Enjoy!

Tileston had pulled Paulie away from the Aqua Laguna reconstruction, saying (yelling) that Iceburg requested his presence.  Being one of the three remaining Dock 1 Foreman, Paulie was reluctant to leave his post, but complied with the request.  

 

Once at Iceburg’s office, a package was thrust into his hands and he was instructed to change into the clothes it held.  After some sputtering on his part and forceful “Nmaa-ing” on Iceburg’s part, Paulie reluctantly went to change into whatever garments Iceburg had picked out.

 

Paulie stepped back into Iceburg’s office after changing into a custom suit, complete with straps for fueling his cigar addiction.  Looking up from his desk, Iceburg took in Paulie’s new appearance.  “Nmaa, looks like the suit is a good fit.”  He then frowned and raised one eyebrow.  “No tie?”

 

Paulie flushed a light crimson color and shuffled his feet.  “Dunno how to tie one,” he mumbled, embarrassed.  He never had a need for one growing up on the streets and didn’t see a reason to start now.  

 

Iceburg smiled knowingly and beckoned Paulie forward.  “I’ll teach you.” Coming around from his desk, he took the tie, positioned himself behind Paulie, and wrapped his arms around him.  Paulie stiffened and flushed even more at the close proximity.  Any helpful instructions that Iceburg was giving were overpowered by his racing heartbeat.

 

“You know, Paulie,” Iceburg finished tying and came around to face Paulie, “I’ve always seen you as a diamond in the rough.”  Paulie blushed at the compliment, then furrowed his brow, confused as to where his boss and mentor was going with this.Iceburg looked Paulie in the eyes.  “And I almost lost you to CP9.”  He grabbed the tie.  “I won’t make that mistake again.”  Iceburg tugged at the tie and pulled Paulie into a kiss.
