Title: Aftermath
Rating: R
Word Count: 295
Pairing: Mihawk/Zoro
Topic: Master
Notes: I've been meaning to contribute a drabble for FOREVER. And while this one's kinda messy, at least I finally did it, haha. And this is the most fitting my icon will ever be :).
Roronoa gasped under the older man, feeling human again for the first time in ages. Mihawk had not been surprised when Zoro had arrived alone on his island months after their final battle. Had not been surprised at being greeted with a violent kiss. A desperate kiss. The self mastery that Roronoa had needed in order to fulfill his ambitions was gone, replaced by a burning need that Mihawk knew all too well. Being the best meant never being able to let your guard down. Never being able to show a sign of weakness. And while Mihawk had faith in the younger man’s ability, being second-in-command to Monkey D. Luffy was no easy task. Luffy may be able to get away with his reckless optimism, but it meant that Zoro had to bear the burden on being the responsible one.
And now Zoro laid on his bed, wrists tied securely to the posts. If he so wished, Roronoa could undoubtedly escape. But Mihawk recognized the desire to rest. The need to let your guard down around someone. Oh, it was ironic that Mihawk was the one Zoro chose for this. But even after his defeat Mihawk still commanded a deep respect from the younger man. Roronoa found it comforting in a way, to be able to go back to his old role as the lesser experienced one, the one who didn’t need to be in charge.
“Not yet,” Mihawk commanded as Zoro let out an impatient groan, “when you have permission.” He gave Zoro a sharp slap on the thigh; now was not the time to be gentle. He continued his rough onslaught even as he entered the other man. Mihawk was in control tonight. And he would be whenever Roronoa needed him to be.
