Title: All the Good Ones
Topic: Minor Characters
Rating: PG for porno...
Pairing: ZoSan… fleetingly
Word Count: 355 (I have returned to my windbag ways…-_-;;)
Summary: Tashigi discovers the ugly truth. Smoker deals poorly.
A/N: Oh, the OOC…this is what I get for trying to deal with characters apart from the Going Merry… o.o
Tashigi flipped through the magazine again, face turning red and eyes tearing up slightly as the pages turned one after another, the images heartbreaking.
This…this was… proof. Proof where Roronoa Zoro stood.
She sighed and closed the book, not wanting to look at the images anymore. She had hoped, even in her anger at him, that he could be helped. Rehabilitated from piracy and…other things.
But after seeing this...
It was horribly depressing.
A knock sounded on her door and she scrambled to get up, shoved the magazine in a desk drawer hastily. “Hai?!”
The door cracked open and the plume of smoke that seeped in had her immediately at attention.
“Smoker-taisa!”
He scowled at the formality, and pushed the door completely open. “Major…what’s this rumor I hear about you hording contraband?”
“W-what?”
“The men are talking about having seen you with…”
“Oh. That.”
He blinked. “It’s true?”
“Well… I mean…”
He held out a hand. “Tashigi…give it.”
Looking down in embarrassment, she groped behind her and pulled out the magazine, reluctantly handing it over.
Smoker’s eyes widened when he saw it. “Tashigi... “Great Men of the High Seas: Boy’s Love Issue”? Why do you ha…is that… Roronoa on the cover? Ooh. I see.” An expression of understanding.
She looked away. “It’s…”
Smoker scratched his head, not really sure how to deal with a young woman with a crush who had just lost out to a skinny blonde with great legs. “Uh…”
An awkward silence. And then, “All the good ones, Taisa,” she sighed.
“Eh?”
“All the good ones are either pirates or gay. Or both.”
Smoker blinked. “Uh…”
“I’ll accept whatever punishment for having that material in my possession, sir.”
“Uh…no, no, that’s okay. I’m uh…just going to…go. You…you take a day off or something.” He turned around and marched from the room.
In other circumstances, Tashigi might have been concerned by his normally cool indifference suddenly turned fumbling, but then again, in all the time she’d known him, Smoker had really never known how to deal well with women…
And in a situation like this…
She sighed again.
“Yeah. All the good ones.”
