...i'm going to hell...
Dec. 1st, 2004 08:57 pmTitle: Company
Pairing: Galley-La
Words: 300
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: ...I am a complete and utter moron. If anyone gets what movie I'm referencing here, I will love you. ...And you'll probably hate me.
One nice thing about living in Water Seven was that transportation provided by an all-knowing bull required no driver. Granted, if Califa and his staff knew that he was out after dark with no bodyguard, they would be furious with him. But luckily his assistant would be none the wiser, the lump in his sheets quite convincing that his bed was still occupied.
The back-alleys were quiet and still, the enclosed cab of Iceberg's bull carriage providing adequate cover and warmth on the cool night. The creature glided smoothly and quietly to the meeting place he'd told it, comfortable silence filling the cab.
It was a bother, at times, sneaking around like this at night, after a long day of appointments. But while Iceberg was a bit unconventional, he was not unaware of the ramifications of his activities on a man of office. But he also could not deny himself some relaxation at the end of the day. And his escort service never failed to provide him with just that.
The bull slowed itself to a stop in the light of a lamp where the evening's company awaited, back turned to the canal. Blond, just as he'd asked for and clad in a tasteful black suit. He rolled down the window, beckoning a good evening to the man though shock painted his pale features as the man turned around.
"I-iceberg-san--!" Paulie was horrified, turning a dozen shades of red. He blurted, "This -- it --I have -- alot of debt --"
The door swung open and Iceberg moved over, closer to the top-hatted man who sat beside him to make room in the cab. Hattori's feathers ruffled at the sight of the ship wright. "Get in," he said evenly. "This is Krystie. Tonight, your name will be Sabrina."
