some holiday wrongness
Dec. 24th, 2004 01:02 amComplete with HORRIBLE Christmas innuendo.

It was Christmas Eve and the sun had long set, bringing it quite nearly to Christmas day, in fact. The boots that all but silently made their way across the Going Merry's deck were only too practiced in sneaking through the night. Not to mention practiced in sneaking their way in to and out of buildings. He was stealthy in spite of his bulk, bag slung over one shoulder as he ducked into the galley, carefully shutting the door behind him.
Eyes were quick to adjust to the dim light of the galley, casting a brief glance around. He was amused to see the small tree set up in the corner and was about to examine it further when a sweet, spicy smell met his nose and he sniffed at the air, gaze turning instead to the table. His one true weakness -- a plate of cookies, freshly baked from the smell of them. He was helpless to resist, never once suspecting it might be a trap, distracting him from his true quarry. He was licking crumbs from his fingers from the first cookie when a voice spoke up from behind him.
"Let me guess," the smooth, quiet voice said. "You came all the way out here just for my holiday spice."
Ace blinked, caught red-handed, teeth already sinking in to the next cookie as he looked over his shoulder at the blond chef. The cherry of Sanji's cigarette glowed gently in the darkness from where he stood, leaning against the counter. A grin split the freckled boy's features then, sly even as he licked the spicy-sweet crumbs from his lips.
"You might say that." He smirked back at Sanji, turning another baked-to-perfection cookie over in his fingers. "So. Got any milk to go with these?"
Title: Secret Santa
Pairing: Ace/Smoker
Words: 343
Rating: PG-13
Smoker wasn't sure exactly how he'd let Tashigi manage to talk him into it in the first place. She was all a flutter about holiday cheer, how important that it was that they get in the spirit of the season. The taisa was considerably less enthused about the holiday. In general all it meant was a lot of unnecessary ruckus, extra paperwork for troop bonuses and endless idiocy involving his less mature underlings hanging mistletoe up around the ship. He'd yanked down a sprig from over his office door for the third time that week just this afternoon.
Still, somehow, that woman had coerced him into it. They had been given a budget for a Christmas party for the crew so he could hardly deny them that. He *could* though, have turned down Tashigi's more ridiculous request. But somehow it'd happened and here he was, the party was over and he was tugging off the fake beard as he shut his office door. For the sake of morale, she had said, and he did have to admit to himself that the men had enjoyed themselves that evening. He wasn't sure he would live down spending the evening dressed as Santa, regardless of the amusement it had provided for the crew.
"Oh my."
Smoker jerked out of his reverie at the voice, whirling defensively -- his jitte would be in the corner out of his reach and --
He stared. The boy sitting on his desk was glowing with smug amusement.
"This is unexpected," Ace said, managing to keep from laughing as he hopped down from the desk, slowly crossing the office. "I've been a bad pirate this year, Taisa," he said, that grin only broadening as he backed Smoker into the wall. Then innocent eyes peered into Smoker's face which was turning the same color as his suit. "Don't you have a... lump you'd like to give me?"
"P-Portgas..." Smoker's voice trembled with anger.
Ace caught his wrist though as he started to reach up, smirk sly again. "No, no. Leave the hat on."
I couldn't decide who Ace should visit for Christmas XD So instead, he makes the rounds. Tramp. X3
