I apologize for the following weirdness. This is for cheetahgurl, and is inspired by a pic she drew for me. Thanks Kyra ^_^.


Chopper had been cataloging his medical supplies last Monday when he stumbled upon Them. All he’d been looking for was something to write with, and Nami’s desk was the best place to find a working writing utensil. The top drawer on the left side of the desk had turned out not to be where she kept her mapmaking tools.

A week later, Chopper sat under Nami’s desk, a bundle of nerves and excitement. He had been waiting all day for the Going Merry to dock, so his crewmates would leave and he could have the ship to himself.

Chopper slowly moved a shaking arm towards his lap. His trembling hoof lifted the title page, and he started to read.

Chopper, engrossed in his reading, failed to hear when Nami returned to get the shopping list she’d forgotten. “Chopper?”

“Nami!” Chopper shot up, banging his antlers on the underside of the desk. His reading material fell to the floor at Nami’s feet.

She bent to pick it up, glanced at the title, then at the blushing, twitching reindeer, and asked, “What in the world are you doing with my hentai manga?”

This wouldn't be too surprising. He's young and therefore curious, and he did go look at nakkie Nami. The others would probably find it cute. XD;

Chopper's the only crewmember who could actually get away with an answer like that. Can you picture Nami's reaction to, say, Sanji trying to talk his way out of getting caught looking at her porn?

Luffy'd be clueless and Nami'd just try to get it away before he got any ideas. Usopp or Zoro would be enslaved for life lest she spill the beans (nevermind that it's HER porn.) With Vivi, she'd be all *wink wink* "Just put it back when you're done, 'k?" And with Robin, Nami might actually be the one to be embarrassed. (Slim chance, but it's there.)

...it's really obvious I like characterizing via putting different characters through the same situation, isn't it?

It's fun to think about how each character would act in the same situation, because their personalities are all so different.
I'd like to read something with Robin and blushing!Nami and girltalk. Robin has had ten more years than Nami to learn things, so I could see her throwing out something that would embarrass Nami.

Sanji should take notes from Luffy and Usopp. Luffy can get as physical as he wants with anyone without getting in trouble, and Usopp gets far more physicial with Nami, albeit in the sense of "We're going to diiiie!" hugs.

Now I'm trying to remember if Sanji got Eeek! hugs when he and Nami were both afraid of bugs on Jaya. (Greatest scene ever, btw.)

Thanks. Writing this was a little weird at first, but, as you said, Chopper is old enough to want to see porn, so...Chopper the perv was born.

I don't know how human years translate to reindeer, but what you're saying is Chopper might really be a dirty old man (I'm now having bad thoughts involving Chopper acting like Happosai from Ranma 1/2)?
