Hello, everybody. This is my very first drabble ever. I don't have anywhere near the same fanfiction-writing skills as all of you here, so this might be my only entry. You don't have to be kind or anything. Just give me your honest reactions. And sorry for the crappy title.

Title: Zeff's Happiness
Topic: Voyeurism
Rating: PG-13? (Doesn't seem enough to be an 'R')
Word Count: 300 (on the dot!)
Pairing: Zeff x Sanji (I looked through the archives*, but I don't recall seeing this pairing anywhere. Does this mean I'm the first?)

*Took me weeks to go through it all, but those were very happy weeks.

“Stop it, ChibiNasu. You couldn't give a proper blowjob if your life depended on it. Work on your pathetic cooking skills, as if what you make can actually be called cooking, if you really want to be of some use to me. Or are you doing this because you're admitting you have no talent for cooking?”

“You KusoJiji!! You're the one getting a boner out of nowhere! I was just taking pity on an elderly man like you!”

“Your 'pity' is not needed nor wanted.”

Sanji slammed out of the bathing room with the beginning of tears in his eyes.

Zeff gave out a “Hmph,” and then looked down at his semi-erect penis.

‘Notes to self:
No more bathing with Sanji. (It's amazing how long it took for the boy to notice my staring. Slow kid.)
Burn all of Carne's porno mags. (Ass-kicking's a given.)
Convince Sanji to live his own damn life.’

Zeff sighed dejectedly at that last item. He'd been trying to do just that for the past couple of years now, but Sanji kept on refusing to leave. The latest failure was especially hard for Zeff. That redheaded captain had been willing, no, eager to have Sanji as his ship's cook. The two seemed to get along well, and Zeff was sure that the captain was destined for great things, especially with such an intelligent first-mate. Sanji also must have known that this captain was his best chance so far to find All-Blue. But he refused. Another golden opportunity ruined because of Sanji's stupidity. To put other's happiness/survival before your own is not necessarily a bad trait to have, but Sanji kept using that trait on the wrong person. Zeff wondered when Sanji'll realize that if he wanted to make Zeff happy, he should make himself happy.

I think this is great -- especially for your first drabble! n_n I love Zeff's notes to himself. And that last paragraph, especially. Poor Sanji. ;_;

As for if there's been Zeff/Sanji, I think there may be one or two WAY back there when the community first started, probably by ChibiMora.

I'd love to see more of your drabbles around here! Please don't be shy! n_n

Thank you for the compliments! I'm proud of what I managed to write, but that could blind me from the lame parts of it. And it's not that I'm shy, it's that I can't come up with story ideas like you people can almost every week. I'm amazed that my brain was able to come up with this drabble idea at all.

This drabble in no way came out as planned. It started out as some random cook's POV, skipped to the smex scene, skipped to description of Sanji's reverence of Zeff, skipped to Zeff's dialog (what you see), skipped to the list (what you see), and then the idea of Shanks floated in from somewhere in my subconscious, thus resulting in that final paragraph.

In fact, I could point out exactly where I got the Shanks idea. This Japanese OP fansite (http://www3.to/h82/)'s Shanks/Sanji fics and pics are to blame.

I would go back to the beginning to look for Zeff/Sanji, but the task's a bit too daunting. I know there's ChibiMora's Sanji x Baratie drabble, but that's as far as I searched and found. There most likely is that Zeff/Sanji drabble, so if you or anyone else sees it, please tell me.

ZeffxSanji is a VERY difficult pairing to write, at least I've always felt so. Personally, I've been fairly squicked at the idea, but I think that has a lot to do with my complete and absolute adoration/obsession of the gruff father/son love portrayed in the series.

That being said, there have been times when this has worked for me when I read it, and that includes this drabble. The humor really works in this. Nice job; I would like to see you write more on any pairing!
