The weight on his wrists and ankles was heavy, perhaps only rivaled by the heaviness in his body, pulling steadily at his muscles. Everything ached. Even the soft silk and pillows he was laid upon did little to ease the scratching burn of his skin as he cracked open his eyes.
He could feel the other man's presence, laid out with him, body touching his back. Long hair brushing his arm. He was unconscious, not surprisingly. It must not have been long, Zoro realized as the smell of the other man nudged exhausted memories to life. Sweat and burned flesh and sex. It was only the lingering scent that forced him to believe it was real, not only a half remembered dream.
Ener must have known he was awake, even if he didn't move, didn't make a sound. Couldn't. And he knew the self-proclaimed god had meant him to see it, even in blurry half-memories. Wiper had been perhaps even worse off than himself, but still managed to struggle, resulting only in shocks delivered to vital nerves that jolted him into paralysis.
Strangely, it wasn't as violent, as angry or wild as might be imagined. He could recall the meditatively closed eyes, Ener's features remaining still and pale even as Wiper growled, grunted, groaned. And after, a swift and short volley had forced the angel back into unconsciousness. The same pale hands laid him out, removed his bonds and then -- they turned on Zoro, a light caress, long fingers stroking over his singed hair. Gentle and sending a horrible chill through Zoro's blood before they were left to recover.
This was god's mercy, Zoro thought bitterly even as the black started to pull at the edges of his vision again. And a warning never to incur his wrath.

Date: 2005-03-21 12:02 am (UTC)Once upon a time, I could've come up with plenty of reasons why Ener/Wiper/Zoro wouldn't work. Then I saw the chibi E/W/Z pic you did (God, Adam, and Steve, was it?) and realized how stupid it was to let little things like canon get in the way of teh hawt. So yeah, love this, love you.
