Topic: Fairy Tales
Rating: G
Pairing: Not tellin’
Word Count: 370 (I’m not gonna even try and whittle it down. I just enjoyed writing it so I don’t care that it can’t win ^__^)
“Momma will you tell me a story?”
“It’s late sweetie, momma’s tired.”
“Please?”
The woman sighed, she just couldn’t say no to her son when he smiled at her like that. He looked so much like his father.
“Ok. Which story do you want to hear.”
“That story!”
“That one again? All right.”
The women cleared her throat and began. “Once upon a time there lived a little princess. Although she was kind and very sweet the princess was also very sad. For your see she thought she was ugly. The other princesses all teased her because she didn’t look like them and told her she would never find a knight to love her. But one day something wonderful happened...”
“What happened momma?”
“The princess met the a brave knight who said to her ‘You are the most beautiful girl I have ever seen’. The princess didn’t believe him at first, but the knight soon helped her see the truth. That she wasn’t ugly at all. Just different, and that made her special.”
“Then what happened?”
“The princess fell deeply in love with the knight and they were married. The princess soon gave birth to a handsome little prince and they were very happy together. But one day the knight had to leave.”
“Why did he have to leave?”
“Because their were dragons to slay, and kings to protect and the other knights needed his help. The princess was very sad but she knew it was the knights duty. She loved him very much and was grateful for the time they had together. So she kissed him goodbye and prayed she and her son would see him again one day.”
“Did the knight ever come back?”
The women sighs a little “No...not yet. But the princess still loved him, no mater what anyone told her. And she knew the little prince would grow up to be a great knight like his father someday. And that thought made her happy. The end.”
“That was a great story momma.”
“Thank you sweetie.” The women leaned down, kissing her son’s forehead as she pulled the covers over him. “Now go to sleep my little prince.”
“Good night momma.”
She smiled “Good night Usopp.”
