The Hunter’s moon hung low in the sky, full, bright, and ominously tinged with red. Its light shone upon the specially gathered group who clustered around a low table. Spread out on the well-worn oak was a tattered and time-stained map. The fragile parchment held the complete attention of the men.

There was stout, steadfast, deadly Lucky Roux. Yassop, he of the keen eye and keener aim, leaned over to point out some strange marking or other, watched closely by the novice. He was still smarting from the earlier snub he’d received from their sometime ally and was eager to take this opportunity to prove himself. Their leader, with his thrice scored eye and hair of blood, waited patiently for his advisor and lover to comment upon the archer’s suggestion. Ben, very wise and rather grumpy, puffed for a moment as he thought. The smoke rose skyward, a gray banner of warning to the world that they meant business. Their task was of utmost importance. For if they failed, it meant the end of life as they currently knew it.

Ben considered their leader, fidgeting as he waited for an answer. Finally he spoke.
“We must undertake this mission.”

Shanks turned to look deeply into the eyes of each of his companions. What he read there seemed to reassure him. The decision made, he gave a firm nod.

“Okay boys! Let’s go find us that bar!”
