Nerd Power
Apr. 9th, 2005 03:52 pmTitle: Wednesday Afternoon
Rating: PG
Pairing: Poorly implied ZoSan
Word Count: 297
Note: I’m not sure how well this fulfills the terms of this week’s topic…probably only partially. Ah well.
“Pow!”
“Blammo!”
“Keeerunch!”
There was something off about the noises coming from the bow of the ship. Just what was Luffy yelling anyway? Zoro listened with half an ear as another marine went flying overboard to a cry of “Zot!” He was busily engaged with his own legion of government goons so he didn’t pay that much attention. Then the ship’s doctor chose to enter the fray.
“RAWR! Chopper SMASH!”
Sniping from the crow’s nest Usopp also added his voice. Strangely enough it wasn’t the usual bluster about his prowess. Instead he seemed to be intoning from some internal script.
“…ate the Gum-Gum fruit and gained fantastic rubber powers. Together with the awesome power of the swordsman Zoro, the fearsome kicking and cooking skills of Sanji, the talents of Chopper, the beauty, wit, and bravery of Nami and Robin, and the unparalleled accuracy of myself, Usopp the Brave, he sails in search of the legendary treasure One Piece, facing down a world that doesn’t understand.”
“What the hell is going on?” Zoro asked, fighting back to back with the chef.
“Thought you knew. I saw you reading those comics Nami bought to keep Luffy entertained along with those other idiots.”
“Yeah but you don’t hear me imitating them.” He stepped forward, blades crossed, and shouted “Oni Giri!” A wave of marines fell back, mowed down by the attack.
“Oh really?” Sanji raised one curly eyebrow, lashing out with one foot as he sucked nonchalantly on his cigarette.
“It’s not the same!”
“Who’s always going on about becoming the best there is at what he does?”
“Fine.” Zoro sent a few more marines flying. “So long as you keep the French and Solitaire to a minimum...Bub. That woman has too many of the wrong ideas ‘bout us already.”

Date: 2005-04-10 02:56 am (UTC)I was DYING at this part:

I could SO picture this. But, I kind of think Luffy would have trouble remembering something this long. ^_*
