Title: Pirate's Beloved
Author: Jaelle
Challenge: Overblown/exagerated style
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji
Rating: PG-13
Word count: 300
Sanji, the breathtaking beautiful blonde cook of the sea, quivered as the chill wind blew through the tiny cracks that made up the dungeon window in the castle of the evil tyrant Walpol. His teeth chattering, he clutched his flimsy robe closer, and wondered if rescue would come.
It was carelessness that had brought him to this place. He'd believed himself strong enough to handle the dangers ahead, and had chosen to ignore the warnings about the extent of Walpol's dastardly nature. He'd never imagined it would come to this, snatched from his bed in the dead of night, and thrown into the deepest, darkest dungeon the Drum Kingdom had.
And now, he waited. How long would it be? And who would come for him? Would it be the evil tyrant himself, or...
The door swung open, and Sanji blinked as a figure was outlined in the doorway. The tyrant? No... those broad manly shoulders, that muscular chest, those mighty thews... this could only be...
"I warned you," the gentle purr sent shivers down Sanji's spine, but not of fear. Of anticipation. "I told you that it was too dangerous. But you ignored my warnings, and so I find you like this..."
Roronoa Zoro, formerly the feared Pirate Hunter Zoro and now renowned as the first mate of the fiercest pirate crew ever to sail the Grand Line, strode forcefully into the cell and hefted Sanji easily into his strong grasp. Sanji was unable even to speak as the mighty Pirate carried him to freedom, his large hands warm against the cook's exposed silky skin. Zoro lowered his lips to Sanji's ear and murmured ominously as they emerged into sunlight.
"There will be a price to pay for this, my pretty."
Sanji knew it would be a high one indeed.
