Apr. 21st, 2005 04:45 pmTitle: Matching Set
Rating: PG
Word Count: 235
Pairing: Ace x Smoker
This is my first time writing either of these characters so I'm hoping I didn't make them too OOC.
Smoker awoke to the feeling of fingers lazily tracing patterns across his back. It was a shock to him, and if the memories of his activities with a certain freckled pirate last night hadn’t return to him then, he would have struck out at the man. Now safe in the knowledge it was a welcome guest lying with him he lets out a sigh, “That feels good.”
“It looks good too,” Ace tells the slightly groggy marine.
“Looks good?” Smoker asks, trying to process what exactly the young man had said.
“Well considering I only had permanent markers to work with, it looks great,” Ace cheerfully answers.
The answer finally snaps Smoker awake and the marine quickly props himself up on an elbow to look at the pirate behind him. “You did what to my back?!”
Ace just gives the older man his best innocent smile as he explains, “I thought it would be fun if we had a matching set of tattoos. So I have my Whitebeard emblem on my back and you have the Marine emblem on yours now.”
Looking at what he could see of his back Smoker could partially see the Marine symbol drawn on his back with the word ‘marine’ written underneath it. Reading the word upside down he furrowed his thick eyebrows and asks, “Ace, why is there a crossed out ‘y’ in between the ‘r’ and the ‘i’?”

"...Maybe you should wash it or something. And you haven't taken it off for days..."
"Go away, Tashigi."
"But taisa, it's warm day; you don't need it, and it'll stain."
"No."
"Smoker-san... ... ...is that a hickey? Ah! I mean!"
"GO SCRUB THE DECK. WITH A TOOTHBRUSH."
I love this drabble so, so much. May I archive it on Blurry (http://blurry.dhak.net)? ^_^ So in-character, especially with Ace. He's a smart boy, but the poor thing can't spell his own name.

Go ahead, I'm more than happy to share. I'm just glad I was able to get him in character in my first try. ^^
