Before I begin, I want to state that BOTH these drabbles are inspired by my favorite doujinka, Resetters who writes Ace/Sanji, Zoro/Sanji and Ace-->Sanji<---Zoro. They do fantastic superangst and the best Ace/Sanji stories I've ever seen. Both of these 'plot devices' appeared in their doujin and both of them made me go "OMFG BEST THING EVER" XD I just didn't want to claim such brilliance -- these are only inspired by those wonderful doujin. X3 The first drabble though could easily take place in congruence with a fic that Jess and I wrote called Dirty Dishes... I'd place them at about 18 and 19.

"Ace...!?"
The freckled face grinned at Sanji, the door of his small cabin clicking shut behind the unexpected visitor. "Surprise?" It didn't take Ace but a breath to snag the cook with arms around his slender waist.
Startled, shirt unbuttoned from undressing for bed, Sanji could only blink as a warm kiss was pressed to his lips. Those sleepy eyes were smiling at him then, a little sheepish, a little mischievous and the young cook couldn't help but laugh, wrapping his arms around Ace's shoulders.
"What are you doing here?" Sanji asked, even as Ace helped himself to Sanji's shirt, tossing it aside. Another laugh, playful kisses and wild raven hair tickling his neck.
"A message needed to be delivered and I convinced my captain to let me do it." Distracted, nibbles placed behind an ear. "Sorry I didn't send a note ahead."
"It's okay," Sanji sighed, unable to keep the grin from his lips. It'd been months since the last time Ace had visited the Baratie. A soft hum purred in his throat as Ace pressed him back against the cabin wall, clearly interested in wasting no time.
Pale hands trailed over Ace's back, fingers still soft from washing dishes, down his shoulders. Sanji paused as his fingertips trailed over strangely raised flesh and he paused to look -- freshly tattooed skin. Bold black letters proclaimed "A" and "S".
"S, for Sanji," Ace explained, that grin growing ever wider.
Sanji's cheeks flushed deep crimson. "...Ace....!"
...
Whitebeard's second was pouting as he walked down the dock toward his schooner, a scowling cook beside him who was somehow still blushing days later. While he'd liked the opportunity to spend some time in port with Sanji, he was still petulant about the alteration that he'd been convinced into making on his new tattoo.

Thick, heavy heat like the breath of an oven, over his whole body, down his legs, up his torso. Wet, hot, panted air and sheening, beading sweat. Sanji might have been concerned over the contents of the pantry were he not thoroughly distracted by the searing tongue and burning hands between his thighs.
A sting, a bite -- not of teeth, a hiss not of breath and Sanji cried out sharply before biting down on his own hand to silence his voice, eyes clamped shut. He heaved with exertion, whimpered with the exquisite pain that scorched across his skin, traced along the curve where thigh met hip. It was only too familiar -- like the bite of a pan from the stove on a bare wrist or a neglected smoke, spent between fingers. Back arched, head thrown back, fingers clawing at the deck in torture and ecstasy.
Ace smiled with self-satisfaction, easing back to admire his handy work and the angry, raised and red flesh, blistered with heat. The letters, the crossed-out 'S' carefully, lovingly inscribed with the tip of his tongue followed perfectly that equally perfect curve in Sanji's milky skin.
A firm hand grabbed his necklace then, yanking him up, Sanji's eyes burning just as much as any of Ace might. No words, just long legs wrapping around him, yanking him closer still, demanding to be claimed with more than just a name.
