“Cheer up sir,” Tashigi says, trying to comfort her red faced superior. “Really, it could have happened to anyone.”
The young woman is given an angry scowl that would cause most sane people to flee, in response.
Undaunted, Tashigi continues her attempt to make Smoker feel better. “We’ve been out to sea for a long time. And there weren’t many chances to dock, so it’s perfectly normal for your mind to wonder in, that direction.”
Tashigi pats Smoker’s arm in a consoling manner and goes on to say, “I’m sure everyone understood that you meant to say that you wanted to ‘seize’ Luffy, not ‘screw’ him. I’m sure the men still have the upmost respect for you, the citizens of the city still have faith in you as a marine, and the Straw Hat Pirates… well I’m sure they really didn’t mean it when they said that you’d be welcome to visit Luffy, for, you know what.”
“Tashigi,” Smoker says, finally speaking up, “Go sharpen your swords or something.”
