Oh ya, I said I was gonna write something, didn’t I… Oops. ^_^

Title: Beer Goggles

Pairing: None, if Smoker had a say in it… (which he doesn’t)

Notes: Dumb, but a follow up to Alcohol and Repercussions




He just couldn’t get her off his mind.

He had known it was dangerous to begin with, knew he should sneak off the ship without leave- his rank wasn’t high enough to warrant mention, he knew any infraction and he’d be out as easily as the trash; but he’d had to get away after being cooped up so long.

And then he saw her.

She wasn’t beautiful in the classic sense, more handsome than anything- but she seemed so familiar, with a naturally confident nature and an air of command. She was perfect, and he had to approach her—

Then that… pirate got in the way, and all hell broke loose. If only he’d had a chance- but she’d accidentally struck him while trying to get away from the mess, and then— well, he had to sneak out before anyone noticed he had been there.

It wasn’t until he glanced across the deck, that a pit formed in his stomach.

“Ca-ca-captain Smo-smoker…?”

Hawk eyes found and pinned him in place, demanding an answer to his attention and the young marine suddenly regretted saying anything, but felt compelled to continue. “Um… your, um… your cheek, sir… um….” He made a feeble pantomime, wiping his own cheek, and was relieved when those piercing eyes left him- the captain turning to walk away with a irritable huff.

Below deck, Smoker could feel rise a fiery heat even Ace couldn’t usually bring out of him. With a rag in one hand and a mirror in the other, he worked- unsure how much of the remaining color was blush, but certain to damn well scrub until he was sure to be clean.

And if he ever, EVER caught Ace with makeup again--

He growled, reminding himself not to break the mirror; he needed that.

Seriously, Smoker drunk in drag is one of the funniest things in the whole freakin' world! I loved the first drabble (but was too much of a bum to comment) and I love this one! Poor Ace. Payback is going to be a BITCH. And so is Smoker! ^_^
