Awww man, you've got me started, now... there may be more coming- this topic’s just got my brain bubbling. ^_~

Looks like Sailor Moon is the first thing that comes to mind when someone says ‘Crack-AU’, isn’t it… *laughs* I’ll have to come up with some others now. Saw [livejournal.com profile] shymagical’s before I posted, but after I wrote this - I swear. O_O (I did however, change the name, since it was close…)

Title: Twice the sailor, half the clothes
Rating: PG
Pairing: ZoSan
Word Count: 245

"...and in the name of the Going Merry- I shall punish you!"

Zoro snored softly, having fallen asleep 14 seconds into Usopp's speech.

Nami looked briefly at the long, pen-like artifact that had fallen from the swordsman's lax fingers.

"I didn't think they'd actually believe you..."

Robin blinked in mild surprise. "I didn't think it would work.”

Chopper tugged ineffectually at the frill hanging from his hips, obviously uncomfortable with the skirted body-suit. Sanji, on the other hand, practiced high-kicks, marveling at the freedom of movement.

“Gomu-gomu no Mars Pistol!” A rubber arm flew past the cook, bringing his attention back to the deck, and consequently, the girls. Eyes lighting up, he half-sauntered, half-danced several feet toward them before a heal gave way, and he came crashing down onto Zoro. Ripe with embarrassment, squirmed away, trying to kick off the shoes and detach the skirt at the same time, angrily cursing the outfit. “How the hell do you get out of this damn thing?!”

“I’ll show you how…”, grumbled a voice below him, and he froze.

Zoro put an arm around Sanji’s waist and lifted him as he got up, leaving the blonde kicking air as he was carried below deck. Another Gomu-mars attack sailed out over the blue sea and back, nearly knocking over Usopp, who had begun another tirade at thin-air.

Nami looked at Robin, managing a sickly smile. “I can only imagine what will happen the next time we have to fight.”

Something about Lucci in the last chapter just snapped this into my head- possible spoilers for those not current with the manga- though its all pretty vague...

Title: Weight of a Crown
Rating: G
Pairing: None; Luffy-centric
Word Count: 320 (ya, I’m over- but it doesn’t count, anyway. ^_~)
Notes: This is just weird, I don’t really know where its going, but it wanted written, so I wrote it. o_O

To protect my Nakama...

Luffy stood on the unfamiliar bow, missing more than anything his favorite perch, the familiar creak of each board, the warmth that used to radiate from the hull- left there by the crew who inhabited her.

...I'll do anything...

He had become harder, reserved- nothing like the open playfulness he used to have. No longer did he join the games on deck- and soon, those died out as well.

...anything I have to...

He decided to make them strong enough to defend themselves from anyone, the fears of the government forcing his hand to make them true. The marines came in droves- vowing to take him down, that no pirate would be allowed to possess pluton. Pirates came as well, trying to unseat the new king; vying for rank and name.

They never stood a chance; gone was the laughing, happy captain- as likely to flee as to fight. None who fought them lasted long; their power had been formidable before, but now- the Straw Hat Pirates were one of the most feared names of the grand line.

...if its for them.

The crew had changed now, too. More serious, purpose-driven. The playful squabbles and half-hearted fights had long since ceased, leaving only their goals, and the will to survive. They missed it, the way things had been- the family they had become. The loyalty remained- any of them would willingly lay down their lives for the others- but the warmth had cooled with their captain.

They understood why, what had sparked it- saw the light in his eyes fade when they nearly lost Usopp and Robin- saw something solidify, steal in his very soul, when the Marines said Robin should die, merely because of what she knew, and understood that the Luffy that loved them all, without reserve, was the one who had made him change this way.

They understood, but that didn’t mean they had to like it.

Sanji, on the other hand, practiced high-kicks, marveling at the freedom of movement. And Sanji likes it!

Weight of a Crown was amazing. A very poignant view of what the future could hold (Not that I think Oda would do something like that, but…).

there may be more coming… Yes, please! And *hint hint* you could still write some h/c, if you really wanted to. ^_~

Weight of a Crown is frightening and poignant, with a heavy message and a distinct darkness. Your words carry the burden of the message perfectly, sticking one's heart quickly and effectively. I really commend you on this particular effort.
