Two completely INELIGIBLE (?) drabbles, one being sort of done before, the other being yuri (sort of) XDD - I think it pretty much showcases why I'm drawn to this community to begin with. XDD

Title: Unexpected Fit

The kiss broke apart seconds after lips met for the first time.

"Sorry! Did it ... hurt?" Calloused hands gently brushed aside the yellow bangs to expose the hollow beneath, its depths red and angry.

"No." Licked his lips, suddenly wanting another cig. "The stick that made it was bigger."

The power of the Hana Hana no Mi enabled her to 'sprout' the parts of her body like blooming flowers over a field. To survive, she'd pushed her powers, testing its limits.

The walls gave purchase for her eyes and ears, and Miss Allsunday let out a soft breath of relief and placed her hat with its mates on its rack.

Mere survival was not enough, not for the bleak emptiness in her soul after seeing her parents and the only place she knew as home obliterated before her eyes.

And Mr. 0 must NEVER learn of her weakness - apart from her pursuit of knowledge.

As she lay down to bed, a second figure who could be her twin tucked her in from the side of her bed and bent to kiss her on the forehead.

"Good night, my sweet Robin."

And it was as if the past 21 years were nothing but a nightmare, and she was seven again and innocent.

Second drabble: I've wondered how much of herself she can actually grow out. If she can sprout a whole head, will she be decapitated if the clone head is chopped off whatever surface it's on? (<-blame goes to the morbid mood set by the previous drabble)

Yeah, I wondered, too - my hypothesis is that she doesn't grow a WHOLE torso and body - just enough for the silhouette effect to work, arms to tuck herself in, and of course, the good night kiss.
When I think back to how DEPENDENT I was to my parents at seven years old ... well. ;_;
Who says Robin can't miss her parents? This might be the only way for her to keep momentos of them - since she's travelling light and carries most of her knowledge in her head?

Hence that.

Sadly, due to the non-yaoi and the possible repetition/gross-out element, I don't think either qualifies in the contest. XD


I've enjoyed your work, too, particularly the "Choose your own yaoi" dating sim one - XD; think you ever want to expand it to a fic-sized bit? XDDD

Thank you! It makes me (and any other writer out there) happy to get positive comments on previous work. I don't think I will be expanding EMLSE! to fic-size any time in the forseeable future. Sorry.

However, I'm currently kicking around an idea for a sequel of sorts. Haven't written anything down yet, but am jotting down ideas as they come to me and hoping they'll somehow thread themselves together. I'm going for drabble format again (since I'm not confident at all about writing detailed smut), but it may end up being fic-sized (in which case I would have to expand it further).

Unlike EMLSE!, I'm going to take my sweet time on this one, so I apologize in advance for getting your hopes up this early. At least I've got the perfect title for it written down.

Maybe you can try one of those hairless breeds? They're a bit creepy looking but you get used to it.

Hehehe. XD I commented on that because that's the one I remember the most - they tend to blur together into one big happy orgy-tastic memory despite my saving them into memories to re-read.

Jotting down ideas are good - I joined partly to get myself WRITING again. It's easy to start, but hard to finish. Harder still when you have both alpha and omega and not the sandwich meat inbetween.

That's fine! I look forward to reading more from you. There IS more to living than internet and pr0n, after all...

.... thank you. My usual high standards mean go with my gut feeling and quit adding so many flowery descriptives, and just choose the SIMPLEST words that convey the situation.

... and since we've gotten Franky's backstory out of the way, I'm hoping for Robin's. And may it equal Chopper and Nami's for sheer tearjerking value and heartwrenching impact. (and having said that, anyone want to bet that Oda-sensei's going to drop it right in the middle of the Enieas Lobby fight before it's resolved, making you scream at him to move faster?)

Mmm. My usual method. Stream of consciousness, and don't pay attention to form / chop words off until later.

If you look at Zoro & Usopp, their backstories are depressing but not exactly LONG or heartbreaking? XDD
(I'm sure he's going to remedy that SOME time. Sanji doesn't count. The starving - forgive me - was a little monotonous for me, despite the harsh backstory.)
