Title: Dessert
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji <-- Pattern going here
Word count: 296
Rating: PG
Note: PLEASE EXCUSE THE HORRIBLE TRANSLATIONS!!!

“Let me guess, I missed dessert?”

“Yep.”

“Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“Why were you sleeping so long in the first place?”

“That doesn’t matter! It’s your job to make sure I don’t starve! What about all the crap about having to feed people?!”

“You’re not going to starve without dessert.” Sanji took a drag of his cigarette, “But if you want something that bad, I can make you some from the leftovers.”

Zoro hmphed and sat down, “Fine.”

With a small chuckle Sanji got from his seat, gracefully made his way to the refrigerator and sighed when he opened it. “… We’re out.”

Zoro quirked an eye brow, “What?”

“I guess everyone ate everything. There’s none left.”

Zoro growled.

Sanji sighed.

“But I have something else if you want. Its not fruit cups but I think you might enjoy it.” He said with a smirk

“Fine.”

So closing the fridge and opening the freezer, Sanji took out a small plate and placed it in front of Zoro.

“I call it ‘un brownie sous la glace à la vanille avec un petit sirop de chocolat’”*

Zoro looked at him stupidly, “What the fuck does that mean?”

Sanji took a long drag accompanied by an annoyed sigh, “a brownie under vanilla ice cream with a little chocolate syrup”

Zoro just stared at him.

Sanji smiled, “I learn a lot about what you want when you’re drunk.”

Zoro chuckled, “Well I’m sorry but this isn’t what I want.”

Sanji blinked, “What?”

Zoro smiled, “that’s right, what I want is called ‘Sanji unter einem brownie unter Vanille-eis mit einem kleinen Schokoladensirup’”*

“…. Pardon?”

Zoro just had to laugh, “I said it’s called ‘Sanji under a brownie under vanilla ice cream with a little chocolate syrup’”

“… Ass hole.”

FIN!!!!!

* Sanji is speaking French.
*Zoro is speaking German.

SO for the online translation crappiness >_

He would speak German.

The German should read as follows:

"Sanji unter einem Brownie unter Vanille-eis mit ein bisschen Schokoladensirup."

I think. I don't really know if you can say "x under y" in relation to foodstuffs in German. It doesn't really come up in conversation that often, and I haven't heard it said in English either. ^^;; (the downsides of being bilingual: you can't speak EITHER language perfectly.) What you mean is that there's a brownie on top of Sanji, and on top of the brownie there's ice cream, right? :O There might be comma stuffs in the German that needs to be respected but I can't stand German comma rules anyway.

I agree, you'd rather say that the ice and sirup is on top of the rest.

Mmh... Sanji topped off with ice and chocolate sauce...*_*

And don't diss my beloved comma rules ;___;

XD

Babelfish is spawned by the online devil, I'm sure! But even with a normal dictionary you can have trouble coming up with exact wordings, so I wouldn't worry. It was well understandable, that's the most important thing. :)

On the other hand, I have no idea what "de nine sprichen ze dutch" is supposed to mean. That sounds dutch! XD;

The amish. Everybody thinks the Amish are Dutch, but they're actually German. As legend has it, when they were asked where they were from, they said Deutschland (or that they were "deutsch") and the locals misunderstood it as "dutch."

I still can't figure out what yours is supposed to mean. I know the "dutch" is a misspelling of "Deutsch," "sprichen" would be "sprechen".... the rest is really weird. "Ich spreche kein deutsch" is what you'd usually say, I think.

Lol, no need to apologize. ^^;;

And stuff like that always makes me want to figure out what it means. (I spent a long time trying to guess the meanings behind the German misspelligns in Shadow Hearts 2).

When you are involved in any fandom involving the japanese, you can't get around german (plus misspellings). What are they so obsessed with it anyway? *snickers*

Weiss Kreuz, anyone?

The worst part about the WK fandom, of course, is that all the fangirls decide to add German to their fanfic too. Like having Schuldig (or Schuldich, or Schulderich, or however they want to misspell the name/word) say "schiesse!" or "fich dich!" all the time XD

Yeah, just like that. I have to laugh whenever I see "fich dich." (I've also seen one where Brad was addressed as a woman, "meine liebe Brad" or something like that.)

............ Isn't that sort of. Derogatory? And a horrible stereotype?

"He speaks German. He's a nazi."

HI KIBS?

True, Rommel the Desert Fox is German and he isn't a Nazi, though in the same time period.

He took poison rather than serve Hitler/have Hitler come after his family due to his political/military influence.

....nah. I'm more of a Nazi than Zoro, and I don't speak German. *shrug*

And wasn't Robin's attacks in Spanish?
