Innocence

Carrot looked down at his hands and played with the hem of his top nipping at his lip softly not making eye contact with the boy besides him. Pepper rubbed the back of his neck and looked for something to say, he turned to the purple haired boy and opened his mouth before shutting it again.

How did you go about…. Kissing….

“Captain Usopp kissed Kaya.. It can’t be TOO hard..can it?” Carrot asked glancing at him.

“But she’s a girl and he’s a guy… me and you are both.. Guys…”

“It works the same..”

“Really?”

Pepper moved a little closer, since he and Carrot had seen the love between their captain and Miss Kaya they had wanted to see what was so great about it. He took a slight breath and sat in front of the purple haired minor.

“So… here comes? Ready?”

Carrot nodded and moved in closer as Pepper closed his eyes and inched forward. Slowly the distance closed and two sets of soft lips met in a brief kiss, both pulled away and whipped their lips.

“Well?” Carrot asked.

“I liked it…”

“Me too…”

“Does that mean.. Its love? I mean… Captain Usopp and Kaya kiss cus they love each other..” Pepper blinked.

“Maybe.. so…. I love you?”

Pepper moved and kissed him again grinning when he sat back down.

“And… I love you?”

Not everything in youth is learned from books.
