I'm really dumb and wrote this for the "Scars" challenge. And then realized that there was no yaoi in it. Oops. >_o
Title: Crocodile
Rating: G
Word Count: 216
Pairing: None
Topic: Off topic.
They call him Crocodile, because he is a fearsome presence. He's not completely sure where he got the name from, but he knows that once it was there, it stuck. It fits him like a gold-trimmed suede glove.
And much like a crocodile, he isn't afraid to use his presence to cause fear. It's better if they run, but if he needs to snap his jaws around someone weaker than him, he'll do that too. He deserves only the best, so the ones who stay are, at the very least, brave enough to stay near him.
But when he's alone in his chambers and thinking, he'll sometimes bring his fingers up to the scar on his face. It runs from ear to ear and the skin is still raised. He might have tried to cover it up somehow, but the way it crosses his face is almost regal.
He lets the people around him think that he gained it through some amazing conquest. From a pirate more fearsome than himself who weilded a deadly blade. Or possibly from the knife of a famous marine admiral who he went on to defeat after having his face slashed nearly in two.
Not that he'd simply tried to scratch his nose in the middle of the night.
