"...And that's when I realized I'd gone the WHOLE day with that stain on my shirt!"

Johnny winced as Mariko and Hans laughed hysterically at her "oh so witty" little tale. Turning, he saw that Yosaku looked just pain bored. Sure, a double blind date had sounded like a good idea, but so far it hadn't turned out that way. Nojiko had picked out a cute enough girl for him, and a rather nice looking guy for Yosaku, but there seemed to be little more to them than their appearances. Besides, as he looked at his fellow bounty hunter, he rather wished he was on a date with *him*, instead. Well, at least they were one this date together, so to speak.

"Speaking of shirts," the woman continued, "Now that Arlong's gone, I can buy a LOT more clothes!"

"Hey, yeah!"

"Isn't that great, Johnny?"

"Wonderful," the bounty hunter replied, trying to muster up some enthusiasm.

"Aww, you two make such a cute couple," said Hans. Johnny smiled weakly.

"Yeah, you do," said Yosaku with a wicked grin.

Johnny made a face at his friend. "So do you two," he said, smiling back at his friend. "I just hope he doesn't mind that you drool in your sleep."

"You do," said Hans, looking at Yosaku with surprise.

"Well, sure, but that's better than snoring loud enough to wake the dead, ne, bro?"

Mariko looked confused. "How does he know...?"

"Well, it's not like I can CONTROL what I do in my sleep," Johnny shot back. "On the other hand, you sing in the shower, and you're tone deaf!"

"You chew your finger nails!

"Better than my *toe* nails!"

"Oh, gross," Hans cried, standing up. "I have to leave before I get sick!"

"Wait for me," Mariko called out, getting up and following the man out of the restaurant.

Yosaku smiled... with those two gone, it was a lot quieter, Plus, he liked the idea of being alone on this date with Johnny. True, they weren't on the date together, but it was close enough for Yosaku.

"Well, damn," said Johnny with a smirk, "we seemed to have scared them off..."

"Yeah..."

There was a sort pause.

Johnny smiled at his friend. "So, you wanna order dessert?"

"You payin'?"

"Sure!"

"I'm in!"
