Ok I think I like this one a lot better than the last time I entered a drabble :B

Nearly a month has passed by. You know that? You've been away from me for nearly a month now. Alabasta may be safe from harm, and Princess Vivi-sama alive and well. However life in the palace is nothing without you. Sighing Chaka set down the pen and closed the small book putting it safely back into a drawer and walked out onto the balcony over the gardens. Below, Kohza and Vivi walked along the garden path talking, partially due to recently the two had gotten together as more than friends.
'Damnit Pell...why did you have to go and get yourself killed?' he cursed to himself growling lowly. He glared at the sky above the palace now, not particularly caring that Pell had saved the entire area from destruction and the country's possible take over. No the only thing that mattered was Pell standing down at the front gates.
'Wait a minute...' chaka blinked looking down at the front gates again. He wasn't seeing things. Pell had returned alive and somewhat well, he was bandaged up and limping. As Chaka raced down to the front gates to greet his old and very personal friend.
Pell glanced up as he walked along the path to the palace entrance. His sharp eyesight caught movement coming his way and wondered for a moment if it was Vivi-sama coming to greet him, grateful for his return. Instead it was Chaka. Pell smiled happily, rasing his good arm out to him.
"Pell!" The jackal was caught in the currently weak hug from his falcon as tears of joy streamed down his face.
