"What are you doing?"

The question startled both Chaka and Pell out of the coital haze they were in. Once they recognized the sixpyear-old voice that had asked it, they fell apart and scrambled for sheets and excuses. "Uh..." Pell started lamely; Vivi clutched Karue closer and waited for an answer. "We were --"

"Establishing a, uh, bond of trust," Chaka interjected, grinning hopefully at the princess. "When you really love someone, that's what you do." Vivi yawned and rubbed her eyes with a fist. "Okaa~ay. I'm going back to bed. Good night!" As soon as the door had clicked closed, Pell turned on the jackal.

"Establishing a bond of trust? We already have --" "I only had a few seconds!" "That's the best you could come up with -- !" "Next time," Chaka growled in his ear, flipping the falcon over and beginning to pound, "you think of what to tell her."
