I'm new. Hello.
Because when I saw the topic fire, my thoughts were "ACE!" followed shortly by "RENT!" And this is my spawn. I have to say though, this is a first for me. This pairing, I mean. XD

Title: Light my Candle
Rating: PG13 for Sanji's potty mouth and mentions of sex?
Word Count: 299! SUCCESS! XD
Pairing: Ace/Sanji, implied Zoro--->Sanji
Topic: Fire

"Do you think Zoro will be angry?"

It had been weighing on Ace's mind for a while now, as the two men lay in post-coital bliss. The room was dark; Ace had run into Luffy & Co. earlier that day--or was it yesterday, now--and had managed to sneak off with the cook once night fell. If you through around the word 'sneak' lightly. It was more like trying to escape a highly guarded prison cell. Ace was surprised they had managed to do it at all.

And yet now, here they were, laying in the thick darkness of some room in some Inn on some island whose name really didn't even matter.

"Tch. Who cares what that shitty swordsman thinks?" Sanji grunted, sitting up.

"It's obvious he likes you."

Ace heard Sanji mumble something incoherent in response, before a weight shifted and the bed lurched as the cook stood. He could just make out the other man's silhouette in the darkness. Ace had to admit he did enjoy these little meetings.

"What, you're not going to indulge him just once?" Sanji shot him a glare as he pulled on his pants. The cook was silent. While any normal person would have guessed that they had gone too far, Ace knew that Sanji wasn't really upset, not at him.

"Just shut up. Light my candle, would you?"

Ace just shrugged, snapping his fingers so the wick on the candle Sanji was holding burst into flames, illuminating the room with an eerie glow. The fire-user looked at Sanji, who just looked back, before nodding sharply and exiting the room.

"Light my candle," Ace echoed, snorting. "Damn straight I'll light your candle."

And Ace couldn't help but think of what he would do the next time he met up with the cook.

Fire-user doesn't seem very Oda. Fire-boy or fire-man would be more proper.

Really? I disagree. I think fire-user sounds just right. After all, the manga calls them "ability users" all the time, and even if Luffy often gets translated as "rubber-man", it just doesn't sound as good with the word 'fire'. Besides, if they'd used "fire-man" we'd have all gotten the image of Ace running around in golashes with a giant fire hose. XD

Fire-user sounds fine to me, since "user" is used to describe Devil Fruit eaters a lot in the series.

This made me snort, I liked it.

Light my/your candle?(Is there another meaning other than physically lighting a candle? Did I miss something here or not?...)
