Notes: Extend some holiday spirit (LOL PC) and pretend that flambé-ing counts as fire? Please? ;D Also, hahah I stayed up unreasonably late to finish this so that it would, in fact, count as The Night Before and not The Day.

Chopper had been sent to the boys' quarters for bed in a near-hysteria, with Luffy not far behind. The deck still echoed with "SANTA'SCOMING~SANTA'SCOMING~!"; the mikan trees shuddered and swayed in the light wind, leaves rimed over with glistenings of snowfall. A table creaked in the galley. Muffled whispers, a choked cry, and silence.

Sanji was tempted to fire up a post-coital cigarette, but resisted the impulse. The smoke would ruin "Santa's" crème brulee, and then he would have to spend all night making the damn thing again. He flicked one out of the package and started gnawing on it, shreds of tobacco flaking down from the increasingly soggy end. Pans sizzled, clattered, and he swore inventively at the crème brûleé. Fucking thing's caught fire!

A Santa-behatted Zoro snorted. It was the first sound he'd made since they had finished. "Pretty impressive flambé, shit-cook." Sanji snarled at the back burner and gritted, "Pretty impressive that you know the word, marimo-brain." The swordsman scowled and lunged for him, pressing him back over the stove. "Where the hell did your Christmas spirit go?" In reply, Sanji kissed him hard, bruisingly. Leverage showed itself – he wrenched Zoro's leg to one side with his knee and bodily shoved him off. Quick action could rescue the crème brûleé, not unprofessional groping over the stove.

An excellent bottle of rum was cracked open; the dessert was lightly drizzled with alcohol, and a cigarette match was sacrificed to it. The blue-blazing crème brûleé dish slid along the table to where Zoro sulked, and as Sanji stalked out, he set the almost-full bottle down beside it. "Merry Christmas, asshole."
