Narcolepsy
Dec. 27th, 2005 09:46 pmTitle: Narcolepsy
Rating: PG-15?
Word Count: 300
Pairing: Ace/Zoro
Topic: Fire
Notes: DORKTASTIC. Also, jeepers! That was hard to pare down. :x
Zoro gnawed the inside of his cheek as a thin flame lapped into his palm. It coiled there for a moment, glowing blue-orange against the tanned skin, before flickering out. The burn it left was a blotch of teeth-aching red, the skin cracking, bleeding. A pained hiss escaped gritted teeth, clawing its way out of his dry throat; Ace smirked. Readjusting his thumbs in the hollows of the swordsman's hips, he bent his head to nip at the raised scar across Zoro's chest, eliciting a groaned curse, and tongue the crimped line where it met his shoulder. Teeth drove in at the muscle between neck and back, but there was no whimpered response.
Ace bit down again, harder -- again, no reply. He glanced up at Zoro -- the bastard's fallen asl--! That thought was cut off as his head dropped to meet the swordsman's bare chest and a harmonized snore filtered from their mouths. A white-hot flash cut through the darkness; the sound of footsteps retreating up the companionway hung in the air for some time.
---
"What are these?!" An infuriated Zoro confronted Nami the next morning with stacks of incriminating pictures. She grinned and trilled, "It's not my problem if my surveying pictures of Merry's hold happen to be blocked by your naked body! I was performing a structural examination and you interrupted it!" The swordsman sputtered for words, finally deciding on "Well, are you going to get rid of them?"
The navigator continued undeterred. "If anything, you should pay a photography disturbance fee. Say, eighteen hundred belli? They have you in a compromising position, after all. Several, if the film's accurate. That means you owe me 14,310 belli." Zoro gaped, muttered, and eventually stormed off. Nami called after him, "I'll take that as a yes!"
