Title: The Thin Line
Rating: PG-13 for ambiguity
Word Count: 174, according to Word
Pairing: Technically ZoSan
Subject: Obsession (sort of...)
The thin line that separates two fundamentally different things fascinates him, probably more than is healthy. When sweet is too sweet and becomes bitter, when light is too bright and blinds instead of illuminates, when cold is so cold it burns… When hate and love consume the mind so completely that they are indistinguishable from each other…
The first time that slurred, drunken words become angry kisses, he is taken aback by the unexpected fervor. The lips that spew heated insults instead trail down the line of his jaw to his chest, leaving a burning trail of warmth deep inside. Eyes that usually burn with rage smolder with lust. Hands that clench into fists and wield sharp death are surprisingly light and run over his skin with the faintest of touches.
He tells himself he can put a stop to it at any time. It’s not an addiction. It’s not an obsession. Finding that oh-so-delicious moment when the thin line blurs into non-existence is a passion, and what would he be without his passions?
