Mycophobia
Jan. 28th, 2006 10:00 pmEh, I just wanted to write something. I started out trying to make it funny, but it didn't quite make it. The meaning of the title should be obvious to those who read the drabble. If not, there's always the Phobia List.
Title: Mycophobia
Rating: G (PG for suggested actions?)
Pairing: UsoLu
Word Count: 300
Topic: Secret Fears

He did it again.
He thinks he can outsmart me in this, but he's wrong. The things are tiny and well mixed in, but I can always tell. Always. He'd let a random number of days go by before trying again, just to catch me off guard, but that just makes me more cautious. Why can't he understand that what he's trying to do to me will kill me?
Now, how to get rid of this stuff without him knowing that I know what he did? He's eyeing me like a hawk. Must redirect focus.
"Say, Nami, how much farther till the next island?"
There, his eyes are off me now, on to the next phase of my plan. I pretend to also focus on what Nami is saying, giving the illusion that I'm off guard. And, just as I predicted, Luffy struck for the opening I provided. Good, he took it! ...along with some other tidbits. Sad, but the loss is worth it. Oh, Nami's about to stop talking, better "notice" something's missing.
"Wha-? Luffy! You took my food! Give me my fried rice and pork back!"
Good thing I still had my hand wrapped around the fork I had stabbed into my biggest piece of pork. Sanji looks disappointed that his plan failed, again. Hah! Your plans are powerless against the great Captaaaa~in Usopp!
I'd better reward Luffy later with some extra snuggling and...::blush::...other activities. He'll like that. Now, I can get on with the rest of my safe and nutritious dinner, so I'll later have enough energy to handle Luffy. Yum!
~*~*~*~
Unnoticed by Usopp, Sanji grinned. 'Good, he didn't notice the mushrooms in the bread. Once again, my diversion plan is a success. It's unwise to take the great Sea Cook Sanji for a fool, Long-Nose. Mwahahahaha.'
