Title: Habit
Challenge: Sanji’s Left Eye
Word Count: 322 - over the limit, but that’s OK, not really in this for the contest, just a pushy muse
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji
Rating: Teen
“So why do ya keep your hair pulled over that side of your face all the time?”
Sanji blinked idly at Zoro, still pleasantly worn out from a rare evening of sex and still more than a bit buzzed. “Mmm… no reason,” he mumbled. “Jus’ a habit.” Sanji stretched and curled around Zoro lazily, long fingers deftly tracing the patterns of muscle under the swordsman’s skin. When he started mumbling the various meat cuts of the area he began following, Zoro stopped him before he got too low. He did not want to know what sort of dishes Sanji could make from those pieces of flesh.
“Hn. It suits you, but it’s a weird style.”
The cook chuckled and slid over Zoro’s body, propping himself against his broad chest and favoring his lover with a tilted grin. “Really, not much of a story. My mother started combing my hair over when I was still little to hide my birth defect. Even when I got all rebellious and ran away to apprentice as a cook, I didn’t end up changing the style very much.”
Zoro blinked a moment at the matter-of-fact statement as the cook began to nibble on Zoro’s collarbone. Then his body decided that he’d had enough cooling off and was quite ready for another round. The thought neatly banked itself into a hind portion of his brain while the rest of him concentrated on driving the cook into screaming bliss.
It was afterwards, bodies slick with sweat and seed, Sanji’s lithe legs unwrapping from Zoro’s waist and the cook fumbling for his post-sex cigarette that Zoro brushed the heavy fall of blonde hair back. A perfectly normal eye blinked back, dark blond brow arching in query.
“I don’t see any defect. Moron, you made that up.” Zoro poked at Sanji’s ribs. The cook smiled, slow and soft, not his usual response to one of Zoro’s insults.
“If you say so.”

Date: 2006-02-05 10:57 am (UTC)Zoro doesn't "see" it because he's always seen it.

Date: 2006-02-05 11:55 pm (UTC)I've seen a few manips that give Sanji two eyes and for some reason, two curly brows is too much for me. One is sexy, two is just wierd.
