Disclaimer: I don't own Crocodile, nor do I own the rest of the characters of One Piece. I do like to bend them to my will on a regular basis though.

The sharp spark of a lighter, and dull flare of a cigar tip were weak in comparison to the glorious glow and burn of the fire still ravaging the destructed Marine prison. The bliss of finally having those god forsaken sea-stone cuffs off of his wrists-- to finally have the gritty dust and sand in the mutilated cell swirl and rise and totally under his control was perhaps only overshadowed by his deprived lungs suddenly sated with the smoky nicotine they’d been craving for months on end.
It wouldn’t be long now. Cliché or not, the Mugiwara pirates would all soon be regretting having ever mucked with his affairs. The blonde one especially. Who’d dared to mock him so openly in such an impossibly arrogant manner.
A pleasant smile curled across thin lips, equally thin brows drawing inwards then up. Blue eyes widened in fear, pale skin trembling from a combination of shock and dreadful anticipation, the slight parting of lips as a last gasping breath was drawn into a supple body thrumming in agony. All highly pleasant thoughts that Crocodile had no doubt he’d soon be turning into a reality.
For now though, he was content to lean back, and puff away on his cigar as Mr. 1 stood faithfully at his side. Oh, he knew complete satisfaction would be his. It was only a matter of time. And lucky for him, patience had always been a virtue Crocodile believed in.
