Though he knew it could be nothing at all like his send off had been, Zoro had to try something. Aside from himself, everyone on the ship had caught some sort of cold and Chopper was running himself into the ground, believing it was his fault in some manner that he'd been unable to cure them as of yet.

They had stopped at an island, and while shopping for needed items (with a sickly Sanji there for directional support) - it was there, tucked between Fukien Tea and a Okinawa Holly. Ignoring the shocked coughing of the blonde beside him, he bought it.

And now, after everyone had been tucked away and nicely drugged, he showed his gift to Chopper. Though not a true tree, it was a perfect replica of a one if full bloom. The soft pink of the petals reminded Zoro of the ones he'd grown up around, and it was a few shades lighter then the snow that cured the islanders of their heart sickness. The shopkeeper had assured it should stand up to almost anything that happened on their ships. Explained how he could move the branches and petals to make the tree upright, weeping or seem to have the wind whispering through the petals. Sanji had written it down, of course, to give to Chopper later.


But that was all moot now as their doctor turned to Zoro and hugged his leg as tightly as he was able.

Fluffy Chopper and Zoro always renders me wibbly. This was very sweet and much needed after the recent chapters (and fic abuse XD).

(Was I the only one who paused during the short scene in the new opening and just kind of sat and took in Monster Chopper? I really want to see that scene animated.)

Sweet idea, getting Chopper a mini-Sakura tree. I liked Sanji's "shocked coughing" as well; Zoro can be sweet too... sometimes... to small fluffy things like Chopper. ^_^
