Angst, angst, angst. I try writing serious stuff. And I manage to get the topic in two times, woot.
Small animals dove out of the way to avoid the booted foot that crashed down. Zoro swore as he stumbled. Damn squirrel rabbit things. Damn Love Cook's inability to keep his damn balance.
Of course the one time the bastard lost his footing was when he standing on the edge of a fucking cliff. As Zoro reached the bottom he expected to see an irate Love cook glaring at him with a bombardment of scathing insults, followed by himself sneering and shooting back that it wasn't his fault that the shitty bastard was so terrified of bugs that he'd rather walk off a cliff than have one land (ok, thrown) on him.
What Zoro found was the cook lying on the ground, limbs and head sprawled at haphazard angles. No furious glare, no venomous words, no merciless kick aimed at his head. No sign of life. Not even when Zoro reached down to touch his shoulder or after he snapped, "Oi shithead. Hey cook, wake up." This wasn't right, this silence, this pale, vulnerable look on Sanji's face. Sanji was a force to be reckoned with, between days filled with arguments and fighting, and unspoken nights spent in galley.
When a shallow beat touched Zoro’s skin as he checked for a pulse, Zoro let out a breath, not that he had been holding one in. "Oi Sanji, come on," Zoro half whispered.
It seemed that Sanji had fallen off one dangerous edge onto the brink of an even more dangerous one. And with Sanji unable to be moved due to injuries and unable to be left alone, it was an edge that the cook had balance entirely on his own. All Zoro could do was wait. Wait and not be worried or nervous. And most certainly not feel guilty.

Sanji could get sliced, or Zoro could get a broken limb.. Marine attack and woooosh..
This was really well written. Apart from the 'OMGZ, Sanji - wake up!' it was awesome!!
