Jun. 17th, 2006 09:33 pmSo mango_32 commented on what would happen when Sanji woke up, with them making up. Inspired, I leapt to the challenge, only to come up with something almost as depressing as the original story.
SO now, I present you with, instead of angst and guilt Zoro, confused and clueless Zoro
Title: Realizations
Rating: PG (the word sex appears once)
Word Count: 300 on the dot!
Pairing: Zosan
Topic: Edge
Disclaimer: Nope, don't own One Piece
"Thanks for all the help Ussop! Not only did you help me get all the supplies, you didn’t even knock me off a cliff while you were at it!"
Fucking Love Cook. He'd been fucking unbearable. Of course there was no appreciation for Zoro getting him to Chopper after Sanji looked safe enough to move. No, all he got in response to that was a murderous glare and "if you hadn't knocked me off, I wouldn't have had to see Chopper at all,"
Zoro didn't get it. Initially, Sanji had been fine, practically affectionate when Zoro mumbled something close to an apology and been, “an annoyingly attentive nursemaid.” However, as time passed, Sanji had gotten quieter and quieter, and slowly sunk into a pissy mood whenever Zoro was around. By the time he'd recovered, it seemed that Zoro's very presence aggravated him. Which meant there was no daily sparring, no snarky comments, and worse of all, no sex.
And even worse than all those things was the weird way Sanji stared at him when he didn't think Zoro was looking. It was nervous, contemplative, surprised, and something else that Zoro couldn't quite put his finger on.
And it got even weirder. More than once he’d seen Nami and Sanji talking together with serious expressions. Or he would walk in on them talking and they would abruptly stop and stare at him before Nami plastered a big smile on her face and started chatting. When he asked her what the hell was going on, she only smiled sadly and said that Sanji was feeling on the edge lately, and needed time to sort out his feelings. "What the hell does he need to sort out?" Zoro asked, confused. All she gave him was a long suffering sigh, and an eye roll.

Date: 2006-06-18 02:56 am (UTC)I hope you enjoyed writing this, because I sure as hell enjoyed reading it. This is way better than the silly, possibly OCCness of "Zoro making up with him" that I suggested.
I like your descriptions of emotions. How Sanji got quieter and gets aggravated by Zoro's presence.

GAH! I love this one so much too!!! and it's getting even more interesting. Brilliant.^_____^

Date: 2006-06-22 01:37 am (UTC)Do it! Do it! Do it!I liked the way you decided to continue this, the Zoro POV was good and the poor boy just radiates confusion. Don't worry Zoro, you'll figure it out eventually. And hopefully Sanji will have come to terms with it by then. *pats Zoro on the head*
