I really thought that kanthia would win with the entry that made my inner geek sing so I haven't been thinking about topics.  But I have been thinking recently that there is not enough of this in this fandom so....

Alternate Universe (AU)/Alternate Reality (AR)

I put both because it's sometimes a tricky difference to navigate through and I like both anyway.  So if you've ever had the desire to write a drabble where Zeff died on that island or Zoro slipped and fell instead of Kuina or Zoro and Luffy totally fight crime at night and are fashion models during the day, go for it!  Especially that last one.  I'd love to see what crazy, inventive stuff people can come up with.

It's fitting that this was the new topic, because for months off and on I've been thinking about a OP AU fic but never got round to really fleshing it out. Hopefully I can get out something related to that for this topic.

OMG! I was TOTALLY talking to _paperpencil last week on how this would be an awesome topic and I wished someone would write it or even consider it! Like how AU would be how things went differently and how AR is how the world itself is different. Like, the AR of everyone in college, or cavemen, or in ancient Japan. The possibilities are endless! I mean, come ON, a Don Rorosoa/Don Sanjino mob AR would be aaaawesome!
