A man with long dark hair followed a set of food prints in the sand, a slight limp impeded him as he walked, and the tide was coming in slowly washing away the trail he followed.

 

He had already lost his daughter and his health to that murderer, And now...

 

He looks down at the man sitting at the end of the trail of foot prints, the sea lapped at his toes as he stared at something only he could see.

 

                “Your friends, they’re leaving today aren’t they?”

 

Zoro shrugged.

 

                “Have you changed your mind then?”

 

                “Never. I just think that I may have better luck going by land.”

 

                “Is that so?” The man frowned, the rising sun catching on his glasses. “Zoro, the walls in my house are very thin, so tell me, who is Sanji?”

 

Zoro stiffened, a blush dusting his face.  “Nobody.”

 

                “Zoro, I know you’re doing this to avenge my daughter.” Zoro’s teacher frowned. “Against my wishes I might at, but you are like a son to me and Kuina would not want her vengeance at the cost your happiness.”

 

                “It wouldn’t work. H-“ Zoro coughed. “Sanji isn’t human.”

 

                “I see, the sea washed you on to this beach and into my house,I knew someday it would call you back.” A sigh. “Go seek this vengeance you’re so determined to inflict. But don’t run from this Sanji should he find you again.”

 

Zoro nodded, but no goodbyes were said.

 

For he intended to come back and tell his teacher that the man who had killed his daughter, broken his school, and had almost taken his leg could never harm anyone else again.

 

And if he happened to come across any mermen...Well he’d just have to learn how to hold his breath for a very long time.

Well, fish have slits in their body where their boy parts stay inside and then come out when they're ready to have a little fun. So i think it would be the same for mer-men. ^.^

anyway, the lurv this AU. And working in Kunia and Zoro's old sensei is really cool. Is there more? eh? Eh?
