I haven't heard this song in forever.
Jul. 7th, 2006 04:16 amTitle: Cold November Rain
Word Count: 236 + 52 for the omake.
Rating: PG-13.
Pairing: Johnny/Yosaku.
Topic: Fun Times.
This, Yosaku reflected miserably, was not his idea of a fun time.
He, Johnny, and Zoro-aniki were tracking down a bounty that kept persistently running away. His bounty wasn’t even that high—it was just that Zoro-aniki had heard he was a renowned swordsman and wanted to challenge him. The bounty head, for his part, had heard that Roronoa Zoro the Pirate Hunter was after him and promptly scarpered. He had been inconsiderate enough to do so in the middle of the fall rains, and so tracking him was proving a messy, muddy, cold business.
Now it was a bit past midnight, and Yosaku’s jacket had finally soaked through to the point that it was practically useless. Cold. Wet. Tired. Kind of hungry. Not happy.
And then sudden heat spread over his back, and Johnny murmured, “Fixed the hole in the tent,” into his ear.
Yosaku leaned back gratefully into his partner’s chest. Warm. He liked Johnny, but more importantly, he liked warm. And Johnny was warm. Suspiciously so, actually.
An arm around his waist, quiet squish of sodden cloth that transmitted body heat well and clung far too closely to everything, slick hot tongue licking rain from the curve of his ear, gentle pull towards the freshly-patched and –erected tent, calloused fingers sliding under his soaked shirt and prickling the chilled flesh with goosebumps.
The night had just taken a sharp turn for the better.
OMAKE:
“You left be to slee’ in da rain.”
“We tried to wake you, Zoro-aniki.”
“You kept sleeping.”
“You seemed okay.”
“Gonna kill you bod.”
“Not with a head cold, Zoro-aniki.”
“Your sniffles will warn us far ahead of time.”
“And in your current state, we can run faster than you.”
“DEAD.”
