Bordom can make you do strange things

Topic: Fun Times
Nami had noticed the crew was a little more bored than usual, but hadn’t thought it was that bad. After all, they had always been very good at amusing themselves somehow. Hell, she knew exactly how some of them found amusement. Judging by how noisy they could be it should have been enough.
At least that’s what she thought, until the day Ussop spotted three Marine ships on the horizon.
With a cheer, Luffy had jumped onto the ship’s rail, Zoro and Sanji in tow. In a few short moments they were gone, but Nami didn’t miss the challenging looks shared between swordsman and cook before Luffy rocketed them into the distance.
An hour later they still weren’t back, but Chopper and Ussop looked faintly excited for some reason. Nami didn’t want to ask.
When the three finally returned they were sweaty, disheveled, but pleased. Nami thought it looked damned suspicious, but again she didn’t ask. Ussop and Chopper were upon them immediately.
“Who won, who won!?”
“I did,” Sanji grinned. “In your face, Marimo!”
Chopper cheered. “I told you Sanji would win!”
Ussop groaned. “Aw… Zoro, you suck.” Zoro growled warningly in reply.
Nami wasn’t sure if she heard right… but it all sounded very wrong. “What are you doing?”
“Just a friendly little bet,” Ussop sighed. “Now I owe him a new set of books.” Chopper giggled excitedly.
“Wait, what? Why in the world are you gambling,” Nami demanded. “And why am I not in on it?”
“We were so bored,” Luffy whined. “But this new game is so much fun! You should have seen the looks on their faces!”
She could imagine… Maybe it was time to find the crew some entertainment before the name of Straw-Hat was to be looked upon with embarrassment rather than fear…

Omake:
“What in the world were you betting on, away,” Nami asked
“The greatest game ever! I call it Gomu Gomu no Marine Pinball!”
It didn’t take a genius to figure out what this new “game” entailed… “That clears a few things up. And here I thought—… Sanji-kun, what is that on your neck?”
“This…?” Sanji carefully adjusted the collar of his shirt to hide the glaringly obvious red mark. “Well, you know those Marines, they bite.”
“Suuure… try again.”
“Aaaah, Nami-san is so cute when she’s being maliciously perspective!”
“Sanji-kun…”
Luffy decided then to answer her question instead. “Zoro was trying to distract Sanji from our game. But it didn’t work, but then Sanji tried distracting Zoro’s aim and—“
“SAY ANYMORE AND YOU’RE DEAD!”

Okay, so I took the topic a bit literally. ^__^’ When I think of fun times, I think of what the crew does to have fun on their own. But anyone can get bored with the usual stuff from time to time. I can see them trying to make up bizarre games with each other… sorry if there are typos, I am the queen of typos sometimes. T__T

Date: 2006-07-12 02:55 am (UTC)As for the icon...it was one of those moments that made me feel warm and tingly years before ever realizing I was a yaoi fangirl XD So, when I saw it again...I had to take a screencap
Why, oh why don't they slash these two?? <--one who has reached the end of her rope looking for that fandom

Date: 2006-07-12 03:00 am (UTC)I agree, I have looked for that fandom (is guilty). I took was effected by such scenes before I ever realized I would like that fandom. But it does not exist... well, it does exist, but is was this HORRIBLE things with Ken as the worst kind of uke (I was a little embarrassed after reading it, urgh...).

Date: 2006-07-12 05:46 am (UTC)Hahah, yeah, why is Ken Masters the uke?? He's seems the most likely to want sex either way...

Date: 2006-07-12 05:53 am (UTC)Ken is most likely to want sex, yeees, however it going with a few laws of the default uke. Long hair, the one that gets saved (in the movie), and most importantly, he is technically weaker than Ryo. It's like how Sanji is the default uke in the Zosan pairing, even though HE is the one more likely to want sex, while Zoro for all intensive purposes might as well be a dead fish in the cannon (we hate it but we know it’s true).

Date: 2006-07-12 02:48 am (UTC)I figured Nami would feel a little embarrassed by that fact that her crewmates are beating Marines using "silly" techniques. But what is more stupid, using silly techniques, or being beaten by said techniques?
