onepieceyaoi100Here's the drabble I wanted to release on the 4th of July, but it wasn't done by then and I think I was having writing problems or something then anyway. Then this topic came along! :D
Title: Showers of Sparks

The only thing that betrayed Usopp's position in the darkness was the light of the match reflecting off his goggles for the briefest of seconds before a telltale sparking and sudden hiss alerted the other team to his attack.
"Incoming from the right!" Nami called, right before Sanji's foot shot up and snapped the fast-approaching bottle rocket in two. It popped harmlessly against his shoe and fell into the grass, smoking.
"Nice try, Longnose." He smirked and scuffed the toe of his shoe lightly to rub off the soot as Nami returned fire.
Robin sat safely away from the melee with Chopper, who had objected to having a bottle rocket fight in the first place. He still flinched every time they fired, but since nobody had been hurt so far, he started to ease up a little.
Then Luffy came back to Usopp's side with more ammo.
"Yo, Usopp, I got it!" Luffy whispered, grinning hugely as he held up a tube-shaped firework.
The marksman lit the last three of his gross in one movement before turning to his captain. "Thanks Lu--WHA?! Wait a minute, that's not--"
Luffy had already yoinked a match and struck it on the side of the large and probably quite illegal roman candle. Usopp panicked in vain as Luffy lit the wick and ran towards the other side of the field, screaming a war cry.
