"And that was how I, the Great Captain Ussop, found the Fountain of Youth and gained the secrets of immortality and wealth."
Looking at his captive audience, he continued. "And, when the time comes, I will return and use the knowledge and secrets to retain my youth and become richer than the wealthiest king."
There was a pause and Chopper whispered, "Wow."
Feeling accomplished Ussop turned to Luffy, and was surprised at his expression. It was... thoughtful? That wasn't an expression Ussop saw very often on Luffy.
"I wanna go."
Stuttering for a second, Ussop quickly blurted out, "but, you're already young. And we have all that treasure from Sky Island."
"I wanna go," came the stubborn reply. "I wanna fight the snakes with three heads on both ends, I wanna sing the secret password song to the mermaids, I wanna climb the vines thicker around than Merry's Mast, I wanna explore the swamp and glass cave. I wanna go!" with the last sentence coming out as a whine.
"Ummmm," Ussop began, but before he could get any real words out, Luffy threw his arms around his shoulders and buried his face in his neck while Chopper watched in fascination.
"Please," Luffy pleaded.
His face about to turn redder than Luffy's shirt, Ussop quickly attempted to pry off Luffy's arms, but to no avail. In fact, Luffy grip got tighter. Ussop could feel Luffy start to open his mouth as Nami came down the stairs.
With the heat burning in his face, Ussop was certain that it’d just surpassed the color of Luffy's shirt. Nami stared, then turned to Chopper.
"Chopper, why don't you go look at the book Robin gave you, and give these two some privacy."
Yes, Ussop was certain his face was redder than Luffy's shirt.

Date: 2006-07-21 12:38 am (UTC)My first language is swedish, and my next is almost more japanese and english, which are weird. But I'm very good at reading english, that's almost the only I read in. Haha, but spelling is my weak spot in every language! XD Except japanese, because the few words I can, I'm good at. ^^'
but my third language is a matter of fact suppose to be french. Haha, but I don't know a shit about that! XD
btw thanks again for the story, I still can't stop laughing! XD
