I do not own One Piece. Blah.
Across the bar Lucci could see the idiot blonde making a fool of himself. He had most likely had consumed his own weight in alcohol and gambled his entire paycheck away, despite Kaku's warning to him about his ever-growing debts. He could see the slob leaning across the table, clearly intoxicated beyond coherence. Sniffing disdainfully, Lucci turned back to his drink and the card table.
He had just won his third hand when he saw Paulie for the second time that evening, out of the corner of his eye. He was looking quite chummy, talking with some stranger. A very friendly stranger who appeared bought him a drink and was leaning in to say something in his ear. Lucci raised his eyebrow, changing his position in the chair so he could watch with out being obvious, eyes never leaving the two.
"I fold," chirped Hattori as the man stood up and headed in the direction of the bathrooms. Lucci slipped out of his chair and headed in the direction the unwise man had gone, smirking as he felt the last person loitering in the dark hallway leading to the bathrooms slip by past him. This wouldn't take long.
"Four Queens and a ten," chirped Hattori. "I believe that since you men have nothing left to gamble, our game is over." Turning around, Lucci fought a sneer as he saw the Galley La Foreman slumped dejectedly over the table. Maybe, just maybe, Lucci would pay a visit tonight to help him forget the traveler who seemed to have ditched him. Yes, he would do Paulie a favor tonight and help erase the memory of the traveler foolish enough to wander into a predator’s territory.
