Word Count: 299 (first time under 300 and that I haven’t had to drastically cut a drabble, woohoo!)
Notes: Inspired by rab_rumrunner’s drabble, even though it isn’t really a sequel...

This was taking more self-restraint than even Zoro thought he possessed, but all he could feel was shame for his display of control.
Zoro’s one acknowledged superior had commanded him to kneel silently no matter what followed. Earlier Mihawk had questioned his control and self-mastery as a swordsman, which of course left him no choice but to angrily pronounce that he could take anything the legendary swordsman might subject him too.
He was beginning to think he had been wrong.
Each time those eyes twitched even more tightly closed it felt like betrayal.
Every time he saw those powerful legs jerk weakly behind the inhuman sword pressed sharply against them. Every time Zoro forced himself to look up at that face and saw a curly eyebrow drawn down sharply in something more than the usual irritation, something that looked closer to panic than anything he should ever see on that shitty-cook’s face...
Every time he saw the teeth of a hard-eyed shichibukai bite down sharply on the pale neck twisted awkwardly to one side, or saw one strong calloused hand kneed flesh it shouldn’t be touching he felt something inside him twist. Painfully.
Zoro quivered with the restrained urge to yell, lunge, slash, to do anything and everything it took to get one of his nakama out of danger, out of a situation that was obviously causing them pain.
Instead he knelt quietly. He had been promised lessons from a master, promised secrets only one swordsman on the planet knew, promised another duel... if he could pass a test of self-restraint. He had also been promised none of his nakama would be physically hurt during this test.
It wasn’t enough.
….
Damn that shitty fucking love-cook bastard for sneaking out here after him, because Zoro's self control was near snapping.

He obviously has class; between the two of them they might be able to turn Zoro into a normal civilized being. Maybe give him an appreciation for wine and candle-lit dinners. And bathing regularly... they'd totally gang up on him. And yet when it came down to it Zoro and Mihawk would both be wrapped around Sanji's finger.

Ever so much beauty sparkling with the glory of all the crack that can be packed into such a perfect pairing...I made the mistake of looking at the prompt list for 20 Inkspots, hoping to come up with something valid. Instead, my Zoro muse said something stupid and this came out:
