And with the hawk’s gaze upon him, once sharp but now dulling, fading as fast as the crimson seeping along obsidian silk, does he realise...

His promise is kept.

I like. Especially the visual of Mihawk's eyes fading and, as orange_smaug said, the calm accepting atmosphere...
