Snicker-Snack
Aug. 7th, 2006 10:19 pmTerrible things are going to happen to me for writing this.
Title: Snicker-snack!
Word Count: 168
Topic: Shichibukai/Villains
Rating: PG for implied violence, romantic situations and some comic mischief
Disclaimer: I apologize profusely to Eiichiro Oda and Lewis Carroll.
‘Twas midday, and the Merry’s sail
Did billow crossing gentle waves
Embroidered was the sniper’s tale
A story that he craves:
“Beware the Mihawk, my child!
The blades that bite, the eyes that catch!
Beware the basilisk’s gaze, beguiled
From sleep to death by promised match!
He took his vorpal sword in hand--
Blade polished black with blood four times,
He turned and met thrice-armed brigand—“
“Brigand?” “Shut up, it rhymes.
And, as in deadly trance they stood,
Mihawk and brigand’s eyes of flame,
Came silent cook through thickest wood,
Upon this deadly game
Ten thousand worlds, a long held breath;
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
The brigand made accord with death
The vorpal blade fell slack.
And now lies slain the dread Mihawk,
His time and title now quite past.
The witness parts his lips to talk,
The brigand holds him fast.”
‘Twas midday, and aboard the ship
The merry chaos does now dwell
For sniper learned with bruised lip
Don’t watch boys kiss and tell.
End
Most sincere apologies to Lewis Carroll once again for the bastardization of "Jabberwocky".
